Equipment page · Freezer / refrigeration
Dedicated troubleshooting page for the Bunk Loughborough freezer that is frosting up again after defrosting. New evidence dated 21 July 2026 confirms this is the same physical LS60 and that the first replacement gasket ordered was incorrect. The seal remains the leading suspect, but the production revision must now be confirmed by serial number and gasket profile before reordering.

Streamlined issue brief
Door gasket fault summary with replacement path.
Blizzard LS60 manual/spec PDFs are saved in the reference section. The exploded diagram is useful for identifying item 2 as the door gasket, but its listed code must not be assumed compatible with every LS60 production revision.
The original diagram lists V2-GASKET60, but the first gasket order was wrong. Reorder only after a supplier confirms the seal against model LS60, serial D2208BZ05WF60S404, overall dimensions and a clear end-on profile photo.
Open: same freezer and same frost-at-door symptom confirmed on 21 July 2026. Incorrect gasket received; supplier compatibility confirmation is now required before another order.
Issue history for this freezer
This physical freezer now has its own page. Future repeat faults should be added here under the same asset rather than mixed with other fridges/freezers.

Full defrost cleared the ice, but frost returned. New photos show heavy frost concentrated beside the door seal. The rating plate matches the original record exactly. A replacement gasket was ordered but was the wrong fit, so the next order must be serial/profile verified.

Why this points to the gasket
Next practical fix: replace the magnetic door gasket / door seal.
Quick confirmation checks
Temporary mitigation
Keep the door closed as much as possible, avoid overloading near the gasket line, wipe the frame dry, and remove ice that physically prevents the door from closing. Do not chip ice with sharp tools.
Part to order
The required piece is the complete magnetic door gasket fitted around the door perimeter—not the cream/white cabinet-edge trim. The LS60 diagram identifies it as item 2, but the original part-code recommendation is now marked unverified because the first ordered gasket did not fit.
A S Catering Supplies lists this replacement for Blizzard LS60, but explicitly states that the model and serial number can both be critical. Use its compatibility-check route before paying and supply the serial, seal measurements and profile photos.
A S Catering Supplies — ASC103028 Checked 21 July 2026: £68.00; lead time typically 2–5 business days; confirmation required.Ask Blizzard/Pentland to identify the current seal from model LS60 and serial D2208BZ05WF60S404. Mention that V2-GASKET60/the first supplied gasket was incorrect and attach an end-on profile photo plus outside dimensions.

Update · 21 July 2026
The black flexible magnetic seal around the door perimeter is the gasket to match. The cream/white rigid strip at the cabinet edge is not the replacement door gasket. These photos also reconfirm the same LS60 serial.

Manual and exploded diagram
The parts diagram identifies the door gasket as item 2 and shows V2-GASKET60, but the first replacement was wrong. Use the diagram for component location only until a supplier verifies the correct production revision against the serial and physical profile.
